QuerQuay is a very special place to stay. Right on the banks of the River Dart, this unique handmade and recycled house is stylish and comfortable throughout with stunning views of the beautiful River Dart.
Both apartments, The Bolthole (ground floor) and Upper Decks (1st and 2nd floors) sleep 2 guests, but for those wanting a larger space, for stays of one week or longer, we can unlock and lower the unique staircase, hidden between the ground and 1st floors, to combine the 2 apartments into 1 fabulous house, which together the use of an additional twin bedroom on the first floor, can provide accommodation for up to 6 guests.
Car-free and care-free
Drive through the recycled gates and there’s room to park your car – a very rare thing in Dartmouth, where parking can be a huge problem. But you don’t have to worry about that – your parking is free for the duration of your stay and once you’ve parked, you’ll have all you need on the doorstep without needing to take the car out again.
A 2-minute trip across on the Higher Ferry and you’re in the town, where you can meander along the Embankment and around the numerous
shops and cafes, join a boat trip up river to Totnes or take a sea voyage.
A short walk along the riverside brings you to the village of Kingswear, where you can catch the magical stream train for trips to Greenway, Agatha Christie’s home, or onto Goodrington Sands and Paignton.
If you do wish to drive, there’s the beautiful Blue-Flag beach at nearby Blackpool Sands, or the historic Slapton Sands, site of the ill-fated Exercise Tiger, one of the rehearsals for the
D-Day landing. Or head inland, to the majestic Dartmoor, just 40 minutes away.
Or alternatively, just relax.........
