The QuerQuay Bolthole is a very special place to stay, right on the banks of the River Dart. The ground floor apartment of this unique handmade and recycled house is stylish and comfortable with stunning views of the River.
Car free and care free
Drive through the recycled gates and there’s room to park your car – a very rare thing in Dartmouth, where parking can be a huge problem. But you don’t have to worry about that – your parking is free for the duration of your stay and once you’ve parked, you’ll have all you need on the doorstep without taking the car out again.
A 2-minute trip across on the Higher Ferry and you’re in the town, where you can meander along the Embankment and around the numerous shops and cafes, join a boat trip up river to Totnes or take a sea voyage.
A short walk along the riverside to Kingswear brings you to the magical stream train for trips to Agatha Christie’s home, Greenways, or onto Goodrington Sands and Paignton. If you do want to drive, there’s the beautiful Blue-Flag beach at nearby Blackpool Sands, or the historic Slapton Sands, site of the ill-fated Exercise Tiger, one of the rehearsals for the D-Day landing.
The internal space includes a beautiful King-size double bedroom, living room with sofa-bed, a small kitchen and a bathroom. Newly refurbished, the space is welcoming, functional and very comfortable, with beautiful reclaimed stone flooring throughout, warmed by under-floor heating. It’s so cozy, you’ll love to snuggle up on wet or lazy days with a book from the library or a film from the huge DVD collection.
By the Riverbank
Outside there’s the Boardwalk which runs for 50 metres along the river bank with a swing seat, café table and chairs and benches– perfect places to relax and watch the world float by, wave at the passing steam trains, enjoy the busy wildlife or toast the sun setting over Old Mill Creek.
Switch Off or Stay Connected
There’s free Wifi throughout the apartment and a strong mobile signal.
